The Swiss School of Public Health (޾ֲ+) assembles the inter-university faculty of public health sciences affiliated with fourteen Swiss univer­sities of the ޾ֲ+ Foundation. ޾ֲ+ is the national coordi­nating body for the promotion of postgraduate university education and research in the fields of public health.

"Protecting Science – Protecting Health" is the motto of the 2026 ޾ֲ+ Annual Meeting, hosted by the University of Fribourg on June 23-24, 2026. This theme highlights the essential role of scientific integrity, collaboration, and transparency in safeguarding both public trust and population health. It invites us to reflect on how protecting the foundations of science ultimately protects the well-being of societies.

Swiss Public Health Conference 2026

Save the date: Swiss Public Health Conference 2026 is happening on September 2–3, 2026 in Lucerne and it will be dedicated to the topic “Public Health and the Beauty of Complexity”.

  • Call for Abstracts - Swiss Public Health Conference 2026

    Health is complex, and it is precisely in this complexity that its beauty lies

    A dialogue between research and practice across science, society, and the humanities

    2–3 September 2026, University of Lucerne

    Public health is complex — and that complexity is a strength. The 2026 conference creates space for exchange between science, practice, policy, and lived experience. We welcome researchers, practitioners, patient advocates, and all those engaged in health and society.

    We invite contributions that:

    • connect research and practice

    • integrate multiple disciplines and perspectives

    • highlight lived experience, narratives, and ethical reflection

    • focus on co-creation, participation, and implementation in real contexts

    Submission formats:

    • Oral Presentation (10 min + discussion)

    • Workshop (75 min interactive session)

    • Poster (incl. flash presentation)

    Languages: English, German, or French
    Deadline: 1 February 2026
    Notification of acceptance: by 31 May 2026
